BCS Elections results announced at 2026 AGM

We were pleased to announce the Elected Officers and Committee members at this year’s AGM, which took place on Wednesday 3 June at our Annual Conference in Manchester. We would like to congratulate the newest members of the BCS team on their election to post following the end of the voting stage of the annual process.

President Elect

Following the year’s process, Professor Andrew Clark is the new BCS President Elect. He began his one-year term in the role after the AGM, and he will be the President Elect until June 2027, after which he will be your new BCS President (2027-2030). Read Andrew’s Supporting Statement.

All members were officially welcomed to their roles at the 2026 AGM.

Demitting Officers

Additionally, we’d like to extend our thanks to two Demitting Officers, who have now reached the end of their term of office on the BCS Board, and to one Officer who will be continuing on the Board in a new role. Their contributions have been invaluable and we’re truly grateful for the exceptional standards of both quality they brought to their roles:

  • Dr Andrew Archbold, Honorary Secretary (2023 – 2026)
  • Dr Shouvik Haldar, Vice President for Education (2023 – 2026)
  • Dr Louise Buchanan, Vice President for Professional and Society Values (2025 – 2026) and new Vice President for Education
