At BCS, we’re committed to ensuring the voice and perspective of resident doctors are considered and included in discussions and decision-making. It’s important that there is adequate representation from resident doctors across all our committees, which along with resident doctors, are made up of elected members, co-opted members, BCS Officers, and other miscellaneous representatives, as appropriate.
The role of the resident doctor representative on BCS Committees not only allows for the individual to represent their personal views but also ensures engagement with the wider resident doctor community.
Resident doctor representatives are normally appointed onto a BCS Committee for a period of three years, with a six-month lead in time. The minimum attendance requirement is 75%.
