We’re pleased to announce this new initiative which is designed to connect cardiac professionals at various stages of their careers.
BCS members who are cardiology resident doctors within one year of obtaining their CCT or consultant cardiologists within five years of qualification, can now apply to become a mentee on our BCS Mentoring Scheme.
The BCS Mentoring Scheme
The scheme is an exclusive benefit of BCS Membership and enables mentors to share their valuable knowledge and experience with mentees to help support their professional development.
The new mentoring platform will match experienced professionals with those seeking guidance based on their personalised preferences and areas of expertise.
What does it offer?
The scheme aims to:
- empower mentees to enhance their professional practice
- facilitate their growth through reflective practice and exposure to diverse perspectives
- expand their professional network

Interested?
If you are interested in becoming a mentee, please email [email protected] expressing your interest.
Your email should include a short blurb about what you hope to gain from mentoring and confirmation of your year of training/appointment.
Expanding the scheme
During the pilot year, the scheme is only open to cardiology resident doctors within one year of obtaining their CCT and consultant cardiologists within five years of qualification. As the scheme develops we aim to offer it to a wider group of members.
