2-4 June 2025, Manchester Central

Welcome to the BCS Annual Conference

The theme for 2025 is ‘The Risk Business’. Everything we do in medicine, from treating individual patients to the structure of health care provision in the UK is associated with risk, and the sessions at the conference this year will discuss risks faced in cardiology (and perhaps ways to minimise those risks). The conference will cover a broad range of topics including the risks to patients, cardiovascular professionals, society and the wider population.

We’re inviting high profile speakers from the UK and overseas to bring their expertise, and to present on this important topic, including senior figures from our European and American counterparts: the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).

It’s an honour to hold the largest cardiology meeting in the UK across the popular three-day format. As always, we’ll open the doors to the BCS Education Zone which offers tailored, one-to-one, hands-on simulator and imaging training. We also invite you to attend the ever-popular Hot Topic sessions to discuss the most pertinent issues affecting the profession and take part in the interactive Lifelong Learning sessions which provide bite-sized updates on the current issues in cardiovascular medicine.

The wide-ranging programme reflects the cardiology curriculum and is suitable for resident doctors to fulfil their training needs and for consultants to use towards their revalidation requirements.

The conference is a prime opportunity to hear from our keynote speakers, our Affiliated Societies – who will present sessions related to their specialist areas – and our industry partners, as well as to network with old friends and new in a packed three-day programme.

I look forward to welcoming you to Manchester in June 2025.
